Viladrau Chestnut Fair
The Viladrau Chestnut Fair has been held since 1995 with the aim of developing a commercial activity that combines culture, nature and the recovery of a product of the land as unknown and as ours as the chestnut from Viladrau and Montseny.
Until the middle of the 20th century , the Viladrau chestnut was the most valued of the chestnuts sold in Catalonia. The famous chestnut makers of Barcelona only wanted to roast chestnuts from Viladrau.
The Montseny chestnut, bright and deep in color, sweet and easy to cook, is collected under controlled environmental conditions in the Montseny Natural Park.
The Viladrau Chestnut Fair will surprise you with the uniqueness of its products, the explosion of colors in the autumn landscapes and the majesty of the centuries-old chestnut trees.
The Viladrau Chestnut Fair has become a unique fair located in a privileged environment, the Montseny Natural Park, Biosphere Reserve. A fair where gastronomy, leisure and entertainment for all ages fill a town and a landscape with chestnuts, autumn and All Saints' Day as protagonists, where culture, tradition and commercial activity go hand in hand.
