Giant Pumpkin Fair in Sidamon

A new edition of the Giant Pumpkin Fair is coming to Sidamon!

The event will take place in La Pineda, in a new location that will offer more space and comfort for participants and visitors.

The fair is much more than an exhibition of giant pumpkins: it's a day full of tradition, gastronomy, and activities for the whole family. Starting at 9:00 a.m., the program will open with a popular " longanizada" (sausage-style sausage) and the reception of the participating pumpkins. At 11:00 a.m., the official weigh-in will take place, a key moment to determine which pumpkins are vying for the main prizes. The awards ceremony will be at 12:00 p.m., with recognitions including trophies, food products, and cash prizes of up to €500.

The festivities will continue at 1:00 p.m. with a communal meal, and in the afternoon, starting at 3:00 p.m., the culinary workshops will begin. Renowned figures will participate, such as Miguelin from La Tasqueta, artisan pastry chef Andreu Montserrat, and chef Oriol Solé from Gruel restaurant, who will offer a selection of traditional cuisine. There will also be a spectacular live pumpkin carving with international artist Judit Comes.
