Vila-seca

Vila-seca is the municipality on the Costa Dorada that, under the quality seal of Family Tourism Destination, a specialization mark granted by the Generalitat of Catalonia, offers a wide range of possibilities to its visitors.

One of the main points of attraction is La Pineda Playa and its promenade, with almost 4 kilometers of high quality beach with a high landscape and environmental value, as certified by the blue flag of the European Foundation for Environmental Education. La Pineda Playa also has natural spaces of special interest such as the Acequia Mayor or the Parque del Pinar de Perruquet.

The tourist offer in La Pineda also includes a wide variety of leisure and entertainment proposals such as PortAventura World, the Aquopolis Costa Dorada or the Costa Caribe Aquatic Park. In addition, the Lumine Golf & Beach Club is a sports resort with more than 200 hectares, distributed in three golf courses, where you can enjoy this sport to the fullest, and a space with 8 infinity-type pools.

As for Vila-seca, walking through its historic center you can visit the strategic points of the cultural heritage of the municipality. It is a route that has 10 identifying totems, which contain historical information that can be accessed through QR codes.

Vila-Seca Castle

The main point and highlight of the historical and cultural heritage of Vila-seca is the Castle of Vila-seca. Original from the 12th century, and which, due to its richness and content, was declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest. Surrounded by a leafy pine forest, the Castle is located to the north of the municipality, very close to the Celler de Vila-seca.

Currently the Castle building has a neomedieval appearance, but it has undergone various modifications over the years, due to changes in owners. Thanks to a collaboration agreement between the Vila Casas Foundation and the Vila-seca City Council, the Castle is now an exhibition space for contemporary art.
