Torà
Located in the Llobregós river valley, the municipality of Torà was a border area between the Christian and Saracen counties in the 10th century. This fact has allowed us to enjoy a valuable architectural legacy, of which the Vallferosa tower is a good example.
The municipality, made up of the towns of Aguda, Cellers, Claret, Fontanet, Llanera, Puigredon, Sant Serni and Vallferosa, is also home to one of the most unique Romanesque ensembles in Catalonia: the Sant Celdoni and Sant Ermenter de Cellers monastery.
The economy is based on agriculture: the cultivated area is practically all rainfed, with a predominance of cereals.
