Since 1997, on the third Saturday of July, the town of Guissona has been transformed into a market from the end of the 1st century BC, recalling its Roman past and the Roman city of Iesso.

The streets and spaces of the town are transformed into the Roman baths, the theater, the forum, the Roman gardens, the legionnaires' school, the legionnaires' camp,... and in each one of the spaces activities are carried out that They take us back in time. Residents of the municipality walk through the streets of the town, turned into patricians and plebeians who enjoy shows such as the sale of slaves, gladiator fights and the parade of the Roman army.

Among the patricians and the plebeians, at some point of the day, Caesar and Cleopatra will also mix together, who, accompanied by their entourages, fill their tour of the Roman Market with glamor and color, a market where you will find different merchants who offer you everything type of products of Roman origin.
