Festival of l'Estany in Puigcerdà
The Fiesta de l'Estany marks the end of the summer season in Puigcerdà!
The origins of this festival date back to 1886, when members of the so-called "summer colony" together with local figures such as Josep Maria Martí, Miquel Salvadó i Llorens and Joan Puigbó Casamitjana decided to create a festive event as a farewell to the vacationers who were spending the summer in Puigcerdà.
The streets of Puigcerdà become a spectacle of colors and joy with the parade of floats, accompanied by music and dance. The party culminates with a fireworks display that lights up the night sky of Puigcerdà, creating an impressive spectacle. There are various activities also designed for the family audience.
