Major Festival in Castellar de n'Hug
The Castellar de n'Hug Festival is long in coming and when it arrives it is with great enthusiasm! As is tradition, during the festival the well-known Ball Cerdà is danced, the Office in honor of Sant Miquel and the audition and dance of sardanas and the dance at night.
The Ball Cerdà is a dance originating from the Cerdanya region and the oldest dating is from the 16th century. This variant of the flat dance is danced mainly at the major festivals in the Pyrenean regions between Ripollès and Pallars.
