Llívia Castle Festival

Llívia

Llívia celebrates the Castle Festival with a day of activities around this heritage element. Lots of activities await you!

This local festival commemorates the donation to the settlers, on May 12, 1257, by King Jaime I of Aragon, of the authorization to inhabit the slope of the hill, to have more access to communication routes, to be able to cultivate the fields of the lower part and be more sheltered from the harsh winters and at the same time continue to have the protection of the lord of the castle.

Throughout the day, the town is decorated with medieval motifs, with a craft fair, medieval games and entertainment for children, food and popular music. Up the castle in the morning, the life of the peasants and knights in charge of Jaime I is staged.

Don't miss a thing!
