Hostalric 1810: Historical recreation camp
Hostalric 1810 is here, an immersive experience that will transport you back in time to the 19th century with a spectacular historical recreation set in the heart of Napoleon's era. For two days, the Hostalric Fortress will be transformed into an authentic 1810 camp, featuring soldiers, scenes from daily life, and a grand battle in the castle moat.
Historical context
The year is 1810. The fortress of Hostalric is under intense siege by French troops. After nine days of bombardment, General Duhesme prepares to deliver the final blow and occupy the fortress. At this critical moment, Colonel Estrada devises a risky plan: to march out with some 700 men and reach Vic without being intercepted.
To this end, he will have the support of a hundred wounded soldiers and Miguelitos, whose mission will be to stop the French and buy time.
Discover the Napoleonic camp
With your ticket, you'll be able to access the historic camp located in Fortaleza and explore it at your leisure. There, you'll have the opportunity to speak with the soldiers and learn about their daily lives:
- Military clothing and weapons.
- Training and training exercises.
- Scenes of everyday life during a siege: cooking, leisure time, and even the chance to share a drink with the troops in the camp tavern (drinks not included).
- Guided tour of the fortress's new rooms, which show how soldiers lived during the War of Independence. Limited seating and opening times are indicated at the entrance.

- Saturday, September 27 : from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Sunday, September 28: from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Prices
- General admission : €10.
- Reduced entry: €6 (over 65s, children aged 7-18, Youth Card holders and people with reduced mobility).
- Free: children under 7 and Super 3 Club members.
Show "The Battle: Attack on the Fortress"
On Saturday, September 27th at 7:00 pm, the castle moat will host a thrilling reenactment of a battle between two rival armies: the French troops and those from Hostalric Castle. A historical spectacle that will transport you back to the 19th century!
