Experience Christmas in Bolvir!
December arrives in Bolvir loaded with a wide range of Christmas activities that fill the municipality with light, tradition and festive spirit!
The celebrations begin with the opening of the 1st Nativity Scene Competition at the Espai Ceretània Museum, an initiative that highlights the creativity of local residents and the symbolic power of this deeply rooted tradition. Simultaneously, the museum itself offers a special Christmas program and presents the Guardó Villè El Castellot Award, which reinforces the town's cultural connection to its heritage.
One of the most anticipated moments arrives on December 6th, with the switching on of the Christmas lights and the fireworks display in Plaça Sant Isidre. This event, always a huge draw, marks the official start of the festivities and precedes one of the first Musical Vespers of the season, which contribute to creating a warm and festive atmosphere. Also in this spirit, the Christmas Story Competition culminates on December 18th with the awards ceremony at the Auditori, recognizing local literary talent.
Children play a starring role in various activities. On December 23, the Auditori hosts a Christmas storytelling session, followed by the traditional Cagatió in the square, one of the most cherished traditions in the Catalan calendar. A few days later, on December 27, the Santa Claus Race fills the streets with color and fun, with categories for both adults and children. The weekend culminates with the delivery of letters to the Royal Page on the 28th, a magical moment that allows the little ones to share their wishes.
The Christmas Park, set up at the Sports Centre on December 22, 23, 29, and 30, offers play areas and sports activities designed for all ages. Finally, the festivities conclude with one of the most anticipated events: the Three Kings Parade on January 5, which travels through the town from Santa Cecilia Church to San Isidro Square, filling Bolvir with wonder and magic to bid farewell to the holidays.
