De Prop Fair in Sant Esteve de Palautordera

De Prop Fair returns once again this year to Sant Esteve de Palautordera with a program packed with activities for all ages that highlight nature, sustainability, popular culture, and local crafts.

Saturday the 25th will kick off with a guided walk to learn about the town's birds and the installation of nest boxes, followed by various workshops such as basket weaving for families, essential oil distillation, seed bombs, and the traditional "Sopa de Pedres" (Stone Soup) with Pep Salsetes. In the morning, there will be traditional games with the Cia de Jocs l'Anònima (Anonymous Game Company), a participatory concert with sardana and a popular glosada (glosada ), and in the afternoon, you can enjoy a healthy cake tasting, among other activities.

Sunday the 26th will continue with activities such as a guided walk at Montclús Castle, workshops on solar energy, nest boxes, and seed dispersal, and a panel discussion on forest management and landscape with local experts. There will also be an organic Catalan wine tasting, a participatory concert by Sarauà, workshops on growing gourmet mushrooms in logs, and a storytelling session with Pep Duran. In addition, there will be a wild cooking workshop to discover edible plants from our local area.

The fair, organized by the Sant Esteve de Palautordera Town Council, combines educational, artistic, and recreational activities to promote a more environmentally friendly lifestyle rooted in the region. A must-attend event for experiencing autumn surrounded by nature, culture, and community.
