The Olzinelles Valley in Sant Celoni
This itinerary is introduced in the Valley of Olzinelles, in Sant Celoni following the stream to the hermitage of Sant Esteve de Olzinelles. Then it crosses the stream, penetrates through the Minas basin, extends towards the Quatre Camins and returns to Can Draper through a rut of the Remor.
The route has a distance of 9.6 km and can be done with a duration of 3 and a half hours. The difficulty of the route is low-moderate, with an accumulated unevenness of 314 meters.
We can access the departure point of the itinerary, in front of the Can Draper farmhouse, both on foot from the center of Sant Celoni or by car.
If we do it by car, at the roundabout at the entrance to the town coming from Barcelona, we will take the exit to the right that indicates Olzinelles and once we cross the Tordera river bridge we will turn left. We will go along this track until we find the tunnel on the right to go under the highway and just at the exit, turn left. At about 200 m we will find the parking area and the Can Draper farmhouse, with the start panel of the route.
If we want to make the exit on foot from the center of Sant Celoni, we can take as a starting point the tourist office, from where we will take San Martín street to the right until reaching its beginning, where it meets Esteve Mogas street, parallel to the train track.
About 50 m to the left, we will find the underpass to pass under the train track. We will go down the Indrustria street that leads us to the C-35 road and just in front of the gas station, we will find the underground passage to cross it. We will finish down Industria Street and cross the footbridge of the Tordera River that we will find a few meters to the left.
We will take the track to the right until we find the tunnel that goes under the motorway and turn left where we will find the Can Draper farmhouse.
If you come by train, leaving the station you will have to go to find the underground passage of Esteve Mogas street that is on the right of the station.
It is a long and pleasant excursion through wide roads and gently sloping trails. The itinerary is marked as a local path (white on green) in wooden markers. Along the way there are informative panels of the different elements of interest.
Exclusive for pedestrians and recommended for all audiences. In case of fatigue, from Sant Esteve you can go back by undoing the road.
