Alcarràs Winter Festival
The Alcarràs winter festival is celebrated in honor of San Sebastián on January 20.
The festival begins with the activity that the housewives begin two days before, when they get together to do "el mandongo" for the entire town. The first day the Pig Slaughter festival is celebrated and sandwiches are distributed to everyone.
Also notable is the distribution of the blessed Sant Sebastià cake, once the mass in honor of the patron saint ends. In addition, there will be shows for the little ones in the family, theatrical performances and plenty of concerts.
