Come and experience the Tabaca Film Fest - The Mythological Film Festival of the Pyrenees in Gerri de la Sal (Baix Pallars)!

The Tabaca Film Fest is the first film festival dedicated exclusively to mythology. When the project began, there were no such references, but as the concept deepened, a unique festival took shape that explores the symbolic and timeless power of myths through audiovisual language.

The initiative was born out of love for Pallars Sobirà, its legends and landscapes, and from the desire to preserve this intangible heritage, connecting the local imagination with the global. The festival has found in Gerri de la Sal the ideal place to take root, thanks to the unique setting of the Royal Alfolí and the warm welcome and involvement of the entire local community.

With an international vocation, the Tabaca seeks to revive stories from around the world and foster cultural exchange between peoples, promoting quality cinema that plays with mystery, enigma, and ancestral spirituality. It is also a space for reflection: why, even today, can we not live without myths?

The festival celebrates cinema that fascinates and disturbs, and invites us to look beyond everyday reality. Under the symbolic protection of the Parnassius Apollo, the endangered Pallaresa vulture that gives its majestic flight over the peaks of the Pyrenees its name.
