Major Festival of Sant Cosme i Sant Damià in Vandellòs

Summer is over and the Fiesta Mayor (Great Festival) is coming, in honor of the town's patron saints, Sant Cosme i Sant Damià in Vandellòs!

The Vandellòs Festival returns for another year with an intense and varied program combining tradition, popular culture, music, and activities for all ages. The events will kick off with the opening speech by Cora Jiménez, a doctor with close ties to the town and renowned for her career and community. The presentation of the heir and the ladies-in-waiting, along with a communal aperitif, will mark the official start of the celebrations.

During the festivities, the streets and squares of Vandellòs will be filled with atmosphere and participation. The popular "clotxada," the community dinners, and the musical vermouth are moments designed to connect and share a meal, while the little ones will enjoy children's shows and activities designed especially for them. Music plays a prominent role, with the Maravella Orchestra, cover concerts, and performances by groups like El Pony Pisador, as well as DJ sets that extend the festivities into the early hours.

Popular culture plays a central role, with the popular procession and the display of giants and big-headed figures, which parade through the streets accompanied by the municipal band. The evening correfoc, with several guest groups, and the final fireworks display bring the magic of fire and gunpowder to the celebration.

There's also a space for sports, with bowling, indoor soccer, and clay pigeon shooting, which complete a diverse and participatory program. The Vandellòs Festival is, in short, a tribute to tradition and community, which keeps the town spirit alive year after year.
