Delve into the history and military life of the 18th century with this unique dramatized tour of the bastioned fortress of Hostalric. You'll accompany military engineer Francisco de Santa Cruz, the creator of the fortress's original design, and discover firsthand how one of Catalonia's most iconic defensive structures was conceived and defended.

During the visit, you will relive the warlike atmosphere and military architecture of the period (moats, bastions, covered paths and impregnable enclosures), and you will learn how the old Cabrera castle was transformed into a strategic and modern fortress, built on a basalt stone hill.
