Gastronomic Days Ranxets in Torredembarra

The Department of Tourism and Commerce, Industry and Activities of Torredembarra organize, once again, the gastronomic Days of "Ranxets, the kitchen in Torredembarra" with the participation of the restaurants Cal Silver, Can Lluís, El Capitán, Hostal Coca, La Cocina de 'in Basilio, Delicias, Las Palmeras, La Sierra, La Terraza and La Xeriueta and with menu prices ranging between € 25 and € 36.

What are the Ranxets?

The Ranxets are dishes that have always been present in the diet of torrenses for many generations, made with ingredients and basic products of the sea and the countryside, which everyone had within reach at home: garlic, tomatoes, nuts, Oil, wine, vegetables and seasonal fish. It is a generous variety of dishes ranging from marinades to garlic and pepper boiled, passing by mussels to the seafood, Asmarris, burned garlic, fideuejats, assorted Romans: cuttlefish, octopus, tortilla with juice, cod with tomato, squeak with garlic and onion, etc.

A novelty of this year's conference is the draw of 10 lots consisting of a basket of local products, a recipe book "Ranxets, the kitchen in Torredembarra" and 2 tickets for the Gastronomic Exhibition of Ranxets. To participate in the raffle it is necessary to have made three different menus among the participating restaurants and have obtained the corresponding stamps, fill out the form and deposit it in the mailbox of the Department of Tourism, until December 9 at 13 h. The draw will be held on December 11.
