Chestnut Festival in Avià

Come and experience this Castañada in Avià, with various activities for all audiences!

The Colla Gegantera y Grallera de Avignon is organizing the traditional Popular Chestnut Dinner, which will take place in the Great Hall of the Ateneo, starting at 8:30 p.m.

The evening promises a cozy and festive atmosphere to celebrate one of the most iconic autumn nights, combining gastronomy, tradition, and good humor. Dinner will include a traditional menu with a starter, bread with sausage or bacon, a drink (water and/or wine), and, of course, the traditional dessert of panellets, sweet potatoes, and muscatel.

The event will also feature bar service and a festive atmosphere, ideal for sharing with friends and family. Dinner is priced at €15, and includes—for children's tickets—a free drink.

Tickets can be purchased until October 27 at Bar Ateneu, and groups wishing to reserve a table can do so by writing to gegantsdavia@gmail.com.

The activity is supported by the Avià City Council and collaborated with various local organizations, keeping alive a tradition that brings together residents and visitors around the embers, chestnuts, and good company.
