Who we are

Mel La Caseta was born from the passion and curiosity of Pau, who discovered his love for beekeeping at just 14 years old. What started with four hives and a lot of enthusiasm has grown into a project faithful to a clear idea: to make good, high-quality honey.

We take care of every detail of the process — from placing the hives in unpolluted areas to extracting and packaging the honey — always guided by respect for the environment and for our bees.

Our apiaries, located in the Berguedà region, offer a great diversity of flowers thanks to transhumance, allowing us to capture the essence of each landscape and every season.

Swarm sales

We produce our own swarms with queens carefully selected for their quality and productivity. All queens are bred by us from royal cells chosen from the best hives in our apiaries.

Our selection is based on clear criteria: a strong start at the end of winter, high honey production, low swarming tendency, and excellent overwintering with minimal reserve consumption. This ensures strong, healthy swarms ready for a productive season.
