Creixell Canicross

Go running with your dog and participate in the Creixell Canicross!

The Creixell Canicross is back with a bang for a new edition that will bring together athletes and animal lovers for a day full of energy, companionship, and respect for nature. This competition, already established in the Catalan sports calendar, is one of the qualifying events of the CorrePotetes Catalunya League and combines the spirit of trail running with the unique bond between dog and runner.

The event, organized by Creixell City Council and the Baix Gaià Water Walk, is officially sponsored by Bravery Pet Food and supported by various local organizations. The race will take place along the paths and trails surrounding the town, offering a route of great natural beauty through forests and stretches of track, ideal for testing the teams' endurance and team spirit.

Canicross is a sport in which runner and dog share effort, pace, and excitement. Beyond the competition, the event promotes values such as togetherness, animal care, and an active outdoor lifestyle. Both regular and new participants find this event a sporting and emotionally enriching experience.

The organizers have provided veterinary care facilities, water points, and rest areas to ensure the animals' well-being. Additionally, Creixell Civil Protection and local volunteers will collaborate to ensure the smooth running of the race.

The course is 6,500 meters long and has an altitude of approximately 67 meters at its highest point. The first podium starts at 9:00 a.m., with subsequent podiums every 20 minutes. The maximum time to complete the race is 1 hour.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for around 10:30 a.m. at the finish line.
