Toses

The municipality of Toses is formed by a set of 4 towns: Toses, Nevà, Fornells and Dòrria.

It is one of the oldest municipalities in the Ribes Valley, historically isolated due to its remote location and its particular political idiosyncrasy.

Currently, and only a few years ago, modern road accesses have been built, which together with the historic trans-Pyrenean railway line from Barcelona to Puigcerdà, allow visitors to discover one of the valleys of the Pyrenees that best preserve all their beauty and original authenticity.

In the valley of Toses the corners where to find the silence and the magic of its imposing and unique landscapes, seem infinite.

Population centers

Nevà: The town of Nevà, at an altitude of 1,250 meters, is the only one in the valley that is located on the shady slope.

Fornells de la Muntanya: The village of Fornells, at an altitude of 1,280 meters, is located at the bottom of the valley, in an area where it widens a little, leaving space for orchards and meadows. The town is historically linked to Dòrria.

Dòrria: located at 1,550 meters above sea level, on an elevated slope over the Rigard valley, on the slopes of the Sierra de Gorrablanc, it is the highest village in the Ripollès region and one of the highest in Catalonia..
