Alta Ribagorça organizes 'Vermuts gastronòmics musicals' during the month of May!

Over the course of two hours , live music sessions are combined, while a tasting of local products in vermouth format is offered.

The band formed in La Pobla de Segur in 2023, Wasteland Babies, made up of the Basque Jorge Lauzurika, Jesús Quílez and the duo of guitarists Aleix Caballé and the Argentine Gustavo Rocha, carries out its powerful live performance throughout Catalonia for the first time, covering and adapting Blues and Rock songs from the American continent and with more modern touches that will not leave the audience indifferent. Wrapping itself in the essence of blues and rock, Wasteland Babies takes us on a sonic journey that takes us away from our culture and takes us to unknown lands where music is the true protagonist.

Musical Gastronomic Vermouth with ROLLING BEAT MACHINE, May 19. Villaller

Rolling Beat Machine is a fun-loving band, maintained by Wouter Driessen from Holland. They are experienced musicians with a long history of entertaining offering a variety of styles ranging from Funk, Soul, Ska, Dance and Rhythm & Blues. It is the only group that performs with such a special and magical machine. It is a device with amplifiers and speakers and is equipped with an old, but innovative sound system that consists of 5 copper bells, which rotate at different heights and different speeds. That's why the audio goes around. Rolling Beat Machine brings its original vintage sound anywhere.

Musical Gastronomic Vermouth with ROS FOLK May 26. The Pont de Suert

ROS is the new project of the Catalan musician RICARD ROS y ROIG, focused on the Catalan bagpipe, the moaning bag. The new pieces, vindicative and heartbreaking, are accompanied by electronics with synthesizers and drum machines as well as traditional instruments such as flutes, piccolo, tambourine, violin, trumpet, guitar and voice.

In parallel with the concerts, a cooking show will be offered with local products prepared by local restaurateurs and producers, with bar service offered by the festival commissions of each municipality. All concerts are free. The sale of drink, vermouth and tapas tickets will take place directly in the concert space with prices ranging between 2 and 3 euros. The Regional Council subsidizes part of the price of the tapas to make the final price more attractive.
