Tremp Quince Fair

The Quince Fair is held around All Saints' Day weekend, becoming a highly anticipated event for the local community and visitors alike. The fair stands out for its uniqueness, as it is the only one in the world dedicated to this characteristic, yet unknown, fruit of our region.

Activities and Traditions

The fair begins with a budget-friendly breakfast featuring meat and quince aioli, a signature dish prepared by housewives from all over Pallars. Various activities are also organized for children and adults, including the quince aioli competition. This competition is open to all adults and offers two prizes and a runner-up, chosen by popular vote.

The Fira del Codony is not only a place to enjoy local cuisine, but also a meeting point for local agri-food producers, artisans, and artists. Up to one hundred producers gather at this fair-market, where visitors can find a wide range of products from the Pallars Jussà region and surrounding areas. Highlights include:

• High quality honeys and oils.
• Wines, breads and preserves of all kinds.
• Quince and its derivatives: quince, aioli, liqueurs and beers.
• Cakes and other local preparations.
• Natural cosmetics and ethical fashion.
• Costume jewelry and costume jewelry from the local artisans.
