1,022 years. August 28th marks the anniversary of the first written reference to the name Sant Feliu de Llobregat. The new edition of Sancti Felicis is here! The Calaix de Sastre association is once again celebrating the most anticipated medieval festival in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, which this year will be held in the Palau Falguera Gardens.

For Maria Teresa Carcasó, the president of the association, "the Sancti Felicis festival is a great cultural and leisure initiative and a reason for families in Sant Feliu and throughout Baix Llobregat to come together."

The fair, which will begin at 11 a.m., will feature participating companies showcasing their performances and activities, and there will also be a "market, giant games, archery, a bar service, and dinner," explains the president of Cajón de Sastre.

A program full of activities for young and old

The celebration will take place in the Palau Falguera Gardens, with a continuous lineup of activities from morning until night. Starting at 11:00 a.m., visitors can enjoy the medieval market, accompanied by giant games with the fun Gil Ratataplam, fairy makeup by Niu de Llum, and many other surprises designed especially for families.

At 12:00 p.m., medieval workshops such as cyanotype and candle making will begin. The market will also feature Lola Mento, the dragon Sastrus from the Patawa company, the Esplugues Gralla Classroom, and the magician Reivax, who will offer performances that will transport everyone back to medieval times.

The afternoon activities will continue at 6:00 p.m. with another round of workshops and performances, maintaining the festive atmosphere and engaging audiences.

Starting at 8:00 p.m., one of the most emotional moments of the day will arrive with dances and a theatrical journey through the history of Sant Feliu, followed at 9:00 p.m. by a medieval butifarrada and the performance of Samarkand Tribal, which will fill the space with oriental rhythms and dances.

To close the day, at 10:00 p.m., you can see a spectacular fire juggling show by Lola Mento, a magical and vibrant end to an unforgettable day.

Popular culture, historical memory and citizen participation

Sancti Felicis is an initiative of Cajón de Sastre, with the collaboration of Almirall, UNIART, the Generalitat of Catalonia, the Barcelona Provincial Council and the Sant Feliu de Llobregat City Council.

Year after year, the festival has established itself as an essential event in the Santfeliuenc summer, offering a unique combination of historical dissemination, popular culture and participatory activities.
