Re_Palafrugell
Palafrugell is gearing up for a new edition of RE_Palafrugell, a weekend dedicated to wellness, sustainability, and responsible consumption. From October 17th to 19th, the town will host the fourth edition of this event, which combines healthy activities, family activities, and local initiatives designed to promote a more conscious and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
Organized by the Economic Promotion Department of the Palafrugell City Council, RE_Palafrugell offers a free program open to everyone, which has established itself as a benchmark event in the region due to its commitment to comprehensive health and sustainable consumption.
The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, October 17, at 7:30 p.m., at the Palafrugell Municipal Theater. The session will be led by nutritionist and educator Marta Marcè, renowned for her expertise in perimenopause and menopause. In her talk, she will address the symptoms, physical and emotional changes, and the different stages of this life process, with a professional and empathetic approach, designed to offer useful information and practical resources to attendees.
On Saturday, October 18, the activities will move to Tamariu Beach, where the Espai Benestar will be located, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This event will feature free sessions of various styles of yoga, taught by professionals from the Mestimut, Ainania Yoga, Claudia Arias, and Sumaya centers. During the morning, there will also be a free mini-playroom service, managed by the Temps per Cures program, to facilitate family participation.
That same Saturday, at 10:00 a.m., the Pedal Festival will be held, a family event organized by Gran Fondo Community. The start will be from Can Mario Square and the route will follow the town's bike paths. The activity requires prior registration via an online form.
In the afternoon, starting at 5:30 p.m., Run & Chill will take place, a running event organized by Nari Nant Social Run, in collaboration with Vermuteria El Salí in Tamariu. The initiative combines physical activity, community, and nature, and also requires advance registration.
On Sunday, October 19, the spotlight will shift to Llafranc Promenade, which will be transformed into a Family Space, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be workshops, games, and shows to promote values such as recycling, healthy eating, and positive everyday habits. In addition, to facilitate mobility, the free Julivia Bus service will operate between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., connecting Palafrugell's Plaza Europa with Llafranc Promenade.
With this edition, RE_Palafrugell reaffirms its commitment to promoting individual and collective well-being, while boosting local commerce and connecting with the region.
