Rosa Raluy and the Raluy Historical Circus return to the Costa Brava to premiere their new show Terra. The premiere will take place on July 17 in Platja d'Aro, giving way to a new era full of scenic poetry, emotion and artistic excellence. During the month of August, the circus will return, as is tradition, to Palafrugell, where it will present Terra under its classic big top. From here, the tour will continue through the main cities of Catalonia, culminating with the Christmas season in Barcelona.

Terra is a show that pays homage to the relationship between humans and the natural elements. The program includes the visual delicacy of Rosa Raluy in a number with fans and fabrics, the surprising corporal mastery of Omar Marton in his balancing act, the shared strength of the acrobatic trio on the scales, and the elegant energy of sisters Kimberley and Jillian Raluy with their aerial ribbons and aerial number and the air number. Also participating are the visual poetry of Caroline on the trapeze, the comic charisma of Sandro Roque, and a collective scene of high visual power that fuses music, movement and ethereal atmospheres under an innovative scenographic proposal.

history and trajectory

Founded in 1972 by Carlos Raluy Tomás, Circo Raluy evolved from a family project to one of the most prominent companies on the international scene. In 2016, the original project closed its doors for good, giving rise to two new initiatives that capture its essence. One of these is Circo Histórico Raluy, led by Rosa Raluy, which keeps the classic spirit of the circus alive, combined with a contemporary artistic vision.

Throughout its history, Circo Raluy has received prestigious awards such as the National Circus Award, the SGAE Max Award, the City of Barcelona Award, the Ágora Award, and the Sant Jordi Cross, among others. These accolades have solidified its reputation as a benchmark for quality in Spain's circus and cultural scene.

Facilities

The Raluy Historical Circus is unique in Europe. It boasts a rich historical heritage restored over more than 50 years: original circus floats, carriages, and trucks from the 1850s to the 1950s surrounding one of the most beautiful tents in the world. Its interior, made of fine wood, bronze, velvet, and hand-painted frescoes, is reminiscent of ancient European theaters and offers an unparalleled atmosphere.

In addition, several spaces within the venue display period posters, photographs, and stage material, making the Raluy Historical Circus a truly immersive experience. It's no coincidence that it has been invited to perform in iconic venues such as the Moll de la Fusta, in the heart of Barcelona.

Entering the Raluy Historical Circus is like entering a unique world, where history, art, and emotion come together to offer an experience that will remain etched in your memory.
