International Museum Day in Balaguer
The Balaguer museums join another year in the Night of the museums.
The International Museum Day (DIM), which has been celebrated every May 18 since 1977, aims to raise public awareness of the idea that museums are an important medium for cultural exchanges, for the enrichment of cultures and for the advancement of understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples.
The most attractive and popular events of the DIM are the Open Days that the museums offer free of charge to their visitors, as well as, above all, the celebration of the Night of the Museums, an initiative of the Council of Europe during which several museums of the country open their doors beyond their normal hours and after midnight with an extensive program of activities.
This year the Museo de la Noguera organizes guided visits to the warehouses and laboratories of the Museo de la Noguera.
Do not miss it!
