Gypsy Dance in Sant Esteve de Palautordera

The Baile de Gitanes returns to Sant Esteve de Palautordera for another year!

The Gypsies announce that Carnival is here! At the beginning of the year, joy spreads throughout the town, full of excitement and eagerness to dance and meet up with all the Gypsies. When the day of the dance approaches, everyone gets going: we decorate the square, adorn the castanets and prepare petticoats, ribbons and belts, hats and bells, carnations and mimosas, and skirts of all colours.

Little by little, the square fills up, the music starts to play and the dancers are already ready!

San Esteban has a welcoming spirit that invites everyone, regardless of age or origin, to take part in the celebration.
