Lecture: Catalan, present and future by Magí Camps in La Llacuna
The philologist and journalist Magí Camps will give a lecture in which he will address various aspects related to the Catalan language and its role in today's society. During his speech, Camps will analyse the situation of Catalan, its evolution in recent years and the challenges it faces in different areas, such as education, the media and administration.
Furthermore, as a member of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans and the Centro de Estudios Llacunencs (CELL), he will talk about the functioning of the IEC and the latest words that have been incorporated into its dictionary, highlighting the criteria followed to update it.
The event will take place in the chapel of the Blessed Sacrament of the church of La Llacuna at half past six in the afternoon.
