Aplec of Sant Grau and the Mare de Déu del Remei in Caldes de Malavella

Caldes de Malavella celebrates one more year the Aplec de Sant Grau and the Mare de Déu del Remei!

Between October 10 and 12, the municipality will combine tradition, devotion, culture, and gastronomy in a program packed with activities that highlight its local heritage and collective identity.

The events will begin on Friday, October 10, at the Sant Grau Hermitage, with the talk "A busy road. Travels from the 14th century to Caldes de Malavella" by historian Elvis Mallorquí. In the evening, in the Plaza Cruïlles, there will be the traditional blessing of the wineskin of new wine, followed by a large dinner with butifarras (sausages) and Sant Grau cake, organized by the Caldes de Malavella Gastronomic Society. The evening will include live music by the group Akelarre, with a repertoire full of covers for all audiences.

On Saturday, October 11, the activities will move to the Hermitage of Sant Grau, where at 6 p.m. a mass will be held in honor of Sant Grau and Our Lady of the Remei, followed by the Gozos de Sant Grau. The festivities will then continue with a sardana performance by the Cobla Foment del Montgrí, in an atmosphere of brotherhood and tradition.

On Sunday, October 12, the program will conclude with a solemn mass at the Parish Church of Sant Esteve and various activities for the European Heritage Days. The Tourist Office will offer an open house at the Espai Aquae Museum Center and a free guided tour entitled "Caldes in Times of War, " which will conclude with the exhibition "Caldes, Refuge of Peace."

With a program that unites faith, culture and coexistence, the Aplec de Sant Grau reaffirms its role as an essential event in the cultural calendar of Caldes de Malavella.
