Sant Martí de Riucorb
Sant Martí de Riucorb is a municipality in the Urgell region, located to the right of the Corb river. The municipality was established in 1972 by merging the old towns of Sant Martí de Maldà and Rocafort de Vallbona, with their additions of Vilet and Llorenç de Rocafort.
Its economy is based above all on agriculture with the cultivation of cereals, vines and olive trees, there is also a small paper industry and construction materials.
The town formed part of the barony of Anglesola and later that of Bellpuig, which belonged to the Dukes of Sessa and Baona. There are traces of the Middle Ages in the necropolis of Fogonussa, which is currently half in ruins.
