Miró Rosinach centenary exhibition at Concabella Castle

To commemorate the centenary of the birth of the painter, photographer, and medieval scholar Josep Maria Miró Rosinach (1925–2007), his widow, Josefina Magrinyà, presents a sample of his artwork, which includes monotypes, oil paintings, lithographs, prints, and drawings. The exhibition, which can be visited at the Castell de Concabella, also includes some record covers, as during the 1960s he specialized in the field of graphic arts and worked at the Barcelona record label Belter.

Miró Rosinach was a leading figure in the avant-garde movements of the 1950s and 1960s, whose work was particularly associated with Expressionism. He was deeply rooted in the historic Segarra region, his parents' birthplace, and many art critics referred to him as the Segarra painter.

The Terres de Ponent Research Group (GRTP) is commemorating the artist's centenary this year. A commemorative plaque was unveiled at his birthplace in Maldà on June 22nd, and several events will be planned in the coming months to recognize his contribution to the world of art and medieval research.

The exhibition opening will take place on Sunday, July 6, at 1:00 p.m.

When can you visit? From July 6 to September 28, 2025

Hours: Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
