From Navàs to La Font de Gusart

We leave Navàs crossing the bridge that crosses the motorway, near the residence, and follow the GR-176 (white and red markings) that will take us along a dirt track for approximately 2.3 kilometres. Next, we will leave this track to take a path and pass a stream. At this point, we will follow the track again and when we have walked about 400 meters we will leave the GR-176. Now we will come across an indicator sign and we will continue to follow the white markings on the path.

Soon we will arrive at the Font de Gusart where we can rest and enjoy the beautiful natural environment that surrounds us.

To return to Navàs, we will take the track that will take us to El Mujal. Arriving at this small medieval town, do not take the opportunity to pay a visit to the medieval church of Santa Cruz del Mujal, dating from 1239, and the Mujal Castle, declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest ( BCIN ). If you have more time and you are fond of gastronomy, you can stop by the Cal Músic Cheese Factory, an artisan workshop that has been awarded the Lactium Prize for artisan cheeses from Catalonia to taste the different types and specialties they make. If you have done the route with the little ones in the house, at Granja Natura they will enjoy the most interacting with the animals and learning to take care of them.

From here we can choose between two paths to get to Navàs, either the greenway, from where we will enter Navàs from the south, or following the GR-176, which will take us to the entrance of Navàs from the west of the town.

If we choose the greenway, we will leave El Mujal passing in front of the Church. Turning to the left, we will find a signpost. Again, we will follow the white marks until we reach a stream that we will cross and that will take us to the track that leads from Navàs to les Cases Noves. We will cross another track again and about 800 meters of path further on, we will arrive at another track along which we will continue. After approximately 500 meters, we will turn right towards Navàs. We continue straight ahead and after practically 2 kilometres, having passed under the motorway and the vineyards, we will have entered Navàs again on the south side of the town.

If, on the other hand, we prefer to return following the GR-176, we will look for the track that starts from the Mujal North access and that will lead us along 700 meters to a path that we will follow for about 600 meters more. Next, we will turn left and walk another 100 meters. Then, we will come across the white road markings that will lead us to turn right until we come across a signpost. At this point, we will leave the white marks and follow the white and red ones that indicate the GR-176, which we will follow until we reach the municipality.
