Night of Bats in Fogars de la Selva

Night comes and it seems that time stops. Apparently, everything seems calm, asleep, waiting for the first rays of dawn to give way, once again, to movement. But it is that, the night, hides a lot of life! Raise your head and you will see what a crowd of bats wanted on you! Would you like to know more about these unknown flying mammals? Get ready, the Night of Bats is here!

The Night of Bats, will consist of a talk and a small night walk.

During the talk, they will explain everything about the biology of bats, how they behave, what they eat, what are the main species that exist and what is their role in the ecosystem. At the end, you will take a path close to the Museum and, accompanied by an expert guide, you will observe and listen to them. Yes, yes, you heard that right, you will be able to hear them! This will be thanks to a sound transformer device, which converts the ultrasonic screams emitted by bats to a sound frequency that humans can hear. Based on the pattern of sounds, you can tell if they are hunting, orienting themselves, pairing up... You can even identify the species based on the frequency of sound emitted.
