Guilleries Fair in Sant Hilari Sacalm
The Guilleries Fair is back in Sant Hilari Sacalm!
One of the municipality's most iconic events, combining tradition, nature, culture, and gastronomy in a weekend full of activities for all ages. The fair, which aims to highlight the natural and cultural heritage of Les Guilleries, will offer a broad program of talks, workshops, markets, live music, and family activities spread across the main venues of the old town.
The event will kick off on Friday with the presentation of the Guilleries Award and a talk by Ferran Pauné and Àlex Clop on the area's ecosystems, followed by a popular butifarrada (sausage) and a concert by Lov Versions, which will kick off the festivities with great music and a local atmosphere.
Saturday will be the main day of the fair, with the official opening, a market selling local products, demonstrations of artisan crafts, and a wide range of basket-weaving, painting, and printing workshops. There will also be family games, guided tours, a food show, and a cooking demonstration led by local chef Miquel Villacrosa. In the afternoon, a popular chestnut festival, the family show "Let the Chestnut Festival Begin!", and a concert by A Palo Seco will round off a day full of activities.
On Sunday, the fair will continue with the Milió Walk, new children's activities, a market and craft demonstrations, and the traditional Log Carving - Salvador Gispert Memorial, a highly anticipated test of skill.
Throughout the weekend, you can enjoy a local produce exhibition, a motorhome gathering, and an Urban Sketchers exhibition, which will capture the most iconic spots in Sant Hilari.
If you want to spend a fantastic weekend getting to know the Guilleries region better, don't miss the great fair taking place in the capital of this sub-region!
