Sant Mateu Festival in Sant Jaume de Llierca

Sant Jaume de Llierca kicks off the Sant Mateu Festival, during which the town welcomes friends and family eager to enjoy traditional and popular activities.

The events will begin in the Plaza Mayor with a workshop on Catalan tambourine and glossa melodies, an activity designed to introduce and share this distinctive musical heritage. Throughout the morning, attendees will have the opportunity to learn, experiment, and enjoy improvised music and singing, all in a festive and participatory atmosphere. At the end of the workshop, the activity will conclude with a jam session and a popular vermouth, inviting people to extend the gathering and enjoy the music spontaneously and together.

The meeting point will continue at noon with the traditional Sant Mateu Lunch, which will take place at the Union Square starting at 2:00 p.m. Lunch requires a ticket to be picked up in advance at the El Fil space.

The Sant Mateu Festival is an opportunity for the residents of Sant Jaume de Llierca to show their pride and sense of belonging, as well as to celebrate their cultural roots.
