Dansàneu, Festival of Cultures of the Pyrenees

Heir to the training summer school founded in 1992 by the Department of Culture and the Cultural Council of the Àneu Valleys and led for more than two decades by the dancer and choreographer Joan Serra, the Dansàneu, the meeting of popular dance and music which year after year has meant an unmissable date for lovers of traditional dance, was refounded in 2015 at the current Festival of Cultures of the Pyrenees.

A project open to the public of all ages that values the patrimonial and natural wealth of the Àneu Valleys and combines it with a diverse cultural proposal that is structured from dance and high-quality music and mixes the proposals more contemporary and the incentive to the new creation with the root culture.

The current Dansàneu becomes a trans-Pyrenean project that, with dance as its epicenter, incorporates the attractions of artistic, cultural, social and economic disciplines already present in the territory and that give added value to the very concept of a summer festival.
