Guided visit to the Roman Theater of Tarragona

As befitted a city of its importance, Tarraco had a theater that staged shows that often accompanied the main religious ceremonies. If you look at the remains of the cavea, the orchestra and the scaena, it is easy to imagine the Romans of Tarraco enjoying these shows.

In the guided visit you will get to know the Roman Theater and its surroundings, and you will be able to visit the recreation of the cavea, made with a linear iron structure that, on the one hand, evokes the powerful bleachers that the Theater would have in Roman times and makes it understandable for the visitor the size of the monument, recovering the original geometry, while conversing with the remains.

Come to one of the Tarraco show buildings, where we will explain what it was like, what shows were held and what role it played within the urban fabric. The visit is free, prior reservation is necessary.

Check the schedules and enjoy your visit!
