Santpedor plays with the terms of Castellnou de Bages, Sallent, Sant Fruitós de Bages, Sant Joan de Vilatorrada and Callús. The urban core can be divided into two areas: the Old Town and the Eixample.
The Old Quarter is formed by the streets around the Plaza Grande and the Plaza de la Iglesia, are narrow and short streets that were inside the walls. The old quarter is of medieval origin.
The area of l'Eixample surrounds the Old Quarter and in recent years has seen significant growth. Scattered by the term we also find several cottages, with farms, fields and forests.
The environment of Santpedor offers us a varied and attractive landscape , suitable for good walks. The climate of Santpedor, is a Mediterranean climate of medium mountain, since it is far from the influence of the sea.
Temperatures vary greatly from one season to another, summers are very hot, while winters are generally cold, with frost. The rains are concentrated mainly in spring and autumn.
In Santpedor we find superficial waters that are collected, to the west, in the Riera de Bellver and in the torrent of Olius and they go to the Cardener, and to the east, in the torrent of Sebarroja and the Rio d'or and they end up in the Llobregat
We also find groundwater. Formerly they were used in the wells of the houses and with the fountain of the Stairs. Currently these waters fill the wetlands of La Bòbila. In the municipality there are only two sources, that of Burgaroles and the Font de la Riera.
