The Passion of Olesa de Montserrat

If there is a place where tradition has become modern and has been made available to everyone, young and old, this is La Pasión de Olesa. A performance that traces its roots back to 1538, but is staged through a contemporary theatrical language with large doses of spectacularity and a new staging released in 2022. Almost a thousand volunteers make the performances of La Passion of Olesa, and they do it in one of the most impressive theaters in our house.

You will enjoy an incredible show, with a powerful staging and lasting just two hours (intermission included). A vibrant representation, a universal and very human story that will captivate you whether you already know it or if it is the first time you come to see it.

Be moved by the strength of an entire town and almost 500 years of history and the energy of great theatrical productions.

Theater

Whoever comes to La Pasión de Olesa de Montserrat, comes back. If the dimensions of the theater already suggest the magnitude of the performance that will be seen, the opening of the curtain corroborates the suspicion. The technical possibilities of the theater allow us to represent The Passion of Olesa whose richness is difficult to match. The story that is told is known, but only in Olesa can you enjoy this spectacularity.

The desire to reach everyone led us a few years ago to incorporate a system of subtitles in Spanish and English to all performances, allowing people from all over and people with hearing problems to follow the performance.

How to get

By private transportation:

• From Barcelona on the A2, direction Lérida.
• From Girona or Tarragona on the AP-2 or AP7.
• From Vallès, C-58 or C-16.

Around the theater, there is blue zone parking space (free on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and holidays) and also underground parking (Pl. Catalunya-Mercat parking 50 meters from the theater and C/Barcelona parking on the corner of C/Jaume de Viver).

By public transport:

• Hispano Igualadadina Buses - Monbus.
