Montgai is a municipality in the comarca of Noguera formed jointly with Butsènit entity, which is located a couple of miles away.
Montgai is characterized mainly by the bell tower of 40 meters that stands out for its height in the middle of the region of the Noguera. The accompanying church is Santa Maria. It is Romanesque and is built on a single ship, although its doorway is clearly Baroque style.
