The Aplec de Figuerola in Les Piles

Las Piles celebrates the Aplec de Figuerola, with a mass, a snack for everyone and the practice of Folk Dances!

The Figuerola meeting is a cultural and religious festival that is celebrated on August 6.

Figuerola is a depopulated belonging to the municipality of Les Piles, located on the northeastern side of the term. To the west of the town is the beautiful Romanesque church of Sant Salvador, from the 17th century, recently restored, it is a beautiful building with some notable exterior elements.

There are no remains of the old castle of Figuerola. It belonged to Timor-Queralt. In 1277 Pere de Queralt gave it to the monastery of Santes Creus, giving rise to various conflicts over jurisdiction between the Queralts and the monastery, resolved by a sentence of 1536, in which civil jurisdiction was recognized for the monastery and criminal jurisdiction for the Queralts.
