Montgai accordion meeting

The Montgai Accordion Meeting is back for another year!

The Encuentro has been held since 2009. It's a festival where a group of accordion enthusiasts gather in Montgai to enjoy an afternoon of good music in the Plaza Prat de la Riba or in the Sala Ateneu, weather permitting.

Starting at 2:40 PM, the sounds of accordions will take center stage at a gathering that has already established itself as one of the municipality's most anticipated cultural events.

The event brings together musicians from all over the world to share melodies, experiences, and, above all, their appreciation for this instrument so deeply rooted in popular and traditional music. The plaza will become a veritable open-air stage, where attendees can enjoy a wide repertoire that blends classical pieces with popular pieces and improvisations.

The accordion gathering is not only a music festival, but also a meeting place for locals and visitors who want to experience a day of fellowship and celebration. The welcoming atmosphere and active audience participation make each event unique and unforgettable.

To round out the evening, once the performance is over, you can enjoy a communal afternoon snack/dinner organized by the Montgai Town Twinning Association, which will provide a perfect setting for sharing a table, conversation, and good times.
