La Garriga Jazz Festival
Amics del Jazz de la Garriga, celebrate a new edition of the Festival de Jazz de la Garriga, with a remarkable program.
Two very high-level American saxophonists stand out in particular, Ken Vandermark (May 27) and Tony Malaby (June 4), the first in a duet with Damon Locks on samplers and the second, in a trio, with keyboardist Jozef Dumoulin and Drummer Samuel Bert. Tony Malaby - Jozef Dumoulin - Ken Vandermark.
At the state level, the presentation of Corpos (June 3), the latest work by pianist Clara Lai from Osona, with double bassist Álex Reviriego and drummer Oriol Roca, stands out. The trombonist Vincent Pérez's trio will be responsible for inaugurating the festival at the Strogoff bookstore (May 26).
The La Garriga Jazz Festival is part of the group "The Best Festivals", for this year they have promoted the creation of "The Best Sextet", with a musician proposed by each of the six festivals, who will perform in each of they.
