Guided tour: La Peralada Medieval
Peralada is one of the most important medieval towns in the Empordà. Its historical-cultural legacy is present in the charming streets of the town.
Through a tour of the most emblematic places of the town, you will learn what life was like in medieval times as well as the legacy of its most illustrious son: Ramon Muntaner.
This visit to the historic center includes entry to the Sant Domènec Cultural Tourism Center (Village Museum) where you will discover, among many things, the Romanesque cloister (from the 11th – 12th centuries) and the remains of the Iberian oppidum.
You will also enter the church of Sant Martí, where you will learn about the architectural evolution of this old parish church. You will walk through the most important streets and squares discovering the birthplace of Ramon Muntaner or the mythical orchard where Na Mercadera defeated the French army soldier.
