The Bower of Guissona
The festival of the bower is celebrated in Guissona on the Sunday after Corpus Christi, the bower is a popular festival that has been preserved to this day.
On Arbor Sunday, the girls carry out a parade with a paper bow on their heads and a well-decorated basket full of flower petals, and the boys with a cake, placed on a piece of wood decorated for the occasion.
After the parade, the solemn mass and the traditional enramada are celebrated in the fountains of the town, in which petals and colored paper are thrown to the Virgen de la Salud, then the cake is distributed among all the participants in the party, in Vell-Plà square.
