Albesa Cordera Race
The Cordera Race is one of the most iconic sporting and popular events in the Ponent region.
Its history dates back to at least 1590, when the race was held in honor of Saint Roch, with the start and finish at the saint's shrine. Today, the sporting event continues and incorporates new events so everyone can participate.
The program includes a running race with 10 km and 5 km circuits, a popular walk, and children's races, so young and old can enjoy a day of health and socializing. The prizes maintain the tradition: a lamb for the overall and local winners, as well as various gifts for the other categories.
Registration can be done through "more information," with affordable prices and free options for children's races. The day will begin with the opening of the race grounds and race number collection at 7:30 a.m., and will continue with the start, awards ceremony, and additional activities.
