3 days at the Verbena de San Juan on Barco in Roses

This June 22, 23, and 24, experience the San Juan festival on a magical 3-day getaway!

DAY 1 - PLACE OF ORIGIN - BESALÚ TRENET - CIRCUSLAND - SANT PERE DE RODES

Morning departure for Besalú, stopping en route for breakfast (not included). Upon arrival, we'll take a tourist train ride through the historic center to the Monastery of Sant Pere, unique in Catalonia due to its layout, where we'll learn about its history and visit its interior. Next, we'll discover Circusland, the International Palace of Circus Arts: a unique space in Europe that traces the history of the circus with original pieces, the largest circus model in the world, and an impressive collection of objects, costumes, posters, and souvenirs spanning 250 years of circus tradition.

Free time to explore this emblematic medieval town full of beautiful corners, highlighting its impressive stone bridge, built mainly in the 11th century and renovated in the 14th century. Transfer to the hotel in Empuriabrava. Lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, one of the most important monastic complexes of Catalan Romanesque architecture. Although its exact origins are unknown, the most widespread legend explains that it was founded by monks who arrived in the area with relics of Saint Peter, fleeing the barbarian invasions that threatened Rome. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2 - COLLIOURE EN TRENET - FIREWORKS CRUISE OF SANT JOAN DE ROSES

Breakfast. Departure for the picturesque town of Collioure, located on the French coast and dominated by its medieval castle and lighthouse church located right on the beach. It's a town that has been a source of inspiration for famous painters. Upon arrival, we'll get our bearings and take a guided train ride that winds through the vineyards to reach the top of the mountain, where we'll stop to appreciate the beautiful landscape with Collioure at our feet. A great time for taking photographs.

We will continue our journey through Port Vendrès to return to Collioure. Free time to stroll through its lively streets, dotted with charming corners with a bohemian and medieval feel, and where its traditional weekly market is held that day. Return to the hotel and lunch. Free time in Empuriabrava to enjoy a stroll, the hotel pool, or the extensive beach. Dinner. In the evening, we will travel to Roses, from where we will embark on a cruise to admire the fireworks from the bay with Cava and Coca-Cola on board. Return to the hotel. We will participate in the musical activities organized by the city council on Empuriabrava beach. Overnight stay.

DAY 3 - CATALAN VENICE - PLACE OF ORIGIN

Breakfast. In the morning, we'll explore the famous "Catalan Venice," taking a pleasant boat ride through the canals of one of the largest navigable residential marinas in the world, from where we'll see the houses built along this grand canal. Free time. Lunch. At the agreed-upon time, we'll return to our destination.
