Zaragoza and the Piedra Monastery: History and Nature, Apollo Travels

On July 12th and 13th, discover Zaragoza and the spectacular Piedra Monastery!

DAY 1 - PLACE OF ORIGIN - ZARAGOZA - CALATAYUD (surroundings).

Morning departure for Zaragoza. Upon arrival, we'll visit the majestic Basilica del Pilar, one of the most revered shrines in the world and an undisputed symbol of the city. After this first immersion in Zaragoza's history, we'll head to a restaurant for lunch.

In the afternoon, we'll continue the tour with a visit to the Seo Cathedral, a jewel of Gothic art, and the impressive Aljafería Palace, a royal residence of Zaragoza's Muslim monarchs, famous for its medieval architecture and rich history. At the end of the tour, we'll head back to our nearby hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2 - CALATAYUD - PIEDRA MONASTERY - PLACE OF ORIGIN.

After breakfast, we will travel to the Pedra Monastery (entrance included to the park and the Monastery), one of the most surprising natural sites in the region. In this dreamlike setting, we will admire the beauty of its waterfalls, caves and lakes, surrounded by lush vegetation that makes this place a true natural paradise. Inside the monastery, which dates back to the 12th century, we will explore the Cistercian Monastery, now converted into a hotel, and discover its Wine Museum and the Carriage Museum, which will bring us closer to the tradition and history of this unique place. After lunch at the hotel, we will return to our place of origin, bringing with us unforgettable memories of a trip full of history, nature and culture.
