Popular Xatonada of El Vendrell
On Sunday, February 25, the gastronomic festival of the Xatonada Popular del Vendrell is celebrated on Rambla del Vendrell, during which citizens and visitors from the municipality and other towns in Penedès participate in the 38th Xatonaires Masters Contest and the 37th Children's Xatonaires Exhibition and gastronomic proposals with local products.
Throughout the morning, in the traditional popular distribution of xató and wine, more than 1,500 portions of this dish are sold, accompanied by a glass of DO Penedès wine which, together with the DOP Siurana, is a collaborator in the event.
